Spiritual Hygiene.

Spiritual hygiene is neglected by a lot of people. I, for one, was bad at making sure I was spiritually grounded. Staying spiritually healthy is a great way to cope better with life ever changing circumstances, finding ones purpose in life, and being a productive human in society. Think of it this way, when you build a strong foundation, and life challenges show up, (and they will show up), is your foundation strong enough to withstand what’s coming at you? Are you prepared to keep standing even though you are continuously being knocked down? Are you living in your purpose? Or are you just existing, showing up to a job that doesn’t fulfill you everyday? And lastly, what type of human are you being in this world? What are you contributing?

Let me share some of my answers with you. My foundation was weak as feathers, I was a whole mess. Any little obstacle that came my way, I was done. Quit was my first name. Living my purpose, um no. I was too damn scared to live in my purpose. I mean, it’s super scary. I had worked a 9-5 traditional job most of my life. I was not the best human in society either. I could be mean, judgmental, and hardly ever contributed my time with nothing gained. But when I got sick and tired of being sick and tired here’s what I did.

I stopped moving around so much. I have The Pandemic to thank for that. When I became still, is when I started to read more (the self help books). I cut all ties with my situationships. IT WAS HARD! But I had to do it. I started doing a lot of things alone, learning that I am enough. You know, learning to enjoy my own damn company. And the biggest one of all is, I started my spiritual journey. What that did, is help me build a healthy self-esteem, have a greater sense of fulfillment, respect, and appreciate the journey of others. Now I want to help people get healthy in all areas of their life. The journey is where all the fun happens.
